Background information
With financial support from the Global Fund Round 10, Hanoi University of Pharmacy implements Pharmacovigilance Component in Health System Strengthening Project. In this component, Vietnamese pharmacovigilance system is assisted to have comprehensive development. The component project aims at implementing a national pharmacovigilance network - implementing a national spontaneous reporting system as well as establishing a feedback system that would contribute towards the assurance of safety and efficacy of medicine use
At present, the project starts to build a pharmacovigilance curriculum to train all kinds of pharmacovigilance (PV) staff in the national system including doctors, pharmacists, nurses, public health programs and manufacturers.
Job description
The following are the specific activities to produce the expected deliverable by the consultant:
1. Provide strategies to develop the training modules/curriculum and user manual
2. Develop the PV training modules/curriculum and user manual
3. Review and finalize the training modules/curriculum
4. Train the trainers for the developed training modules/curriculum
5. Facilitate training for each developed modules/curriculum as a trial for modules/curriculum.
The consultant is expected to complete all work identified above within ten (10) months from the date of commencement.
The expected results of this consultant areProduce list of used references; Produce final version of PV modules/curriculum structure; Produce final version of training modules/curriculum; Produce a report on development process; Produce a report on training of trainers of developed training modules/curriculum and finalize the training modules/curriculum together with project staff
Requirements
- Demonstrated solid experience on designing and developing curriculum/module for PV and drug safety
- Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
- Proven track record of having worked with Pharmacovigilance initiatives is an advantage
- Experience in working with regulatory authorities, universities, particularly with clinic settings
- Education: Master Degree or PhD holder in PV and drug safety and other relevant fields with minimum 5 years of working experiences.
- Language: Excellent written and spoken English
